African Plants

An interactive Photoguide


„African Plants“ is an identification tool and photo archive. Each plant species is coded with 18 characteristics and can be used (also in combination with families/genera) for searching. The search result with photos helps in further identification and thus contributes to a comprehensive identification literature, especially for tropical Africa.

Support the research with your photos and expand your and our knowledge about the flora of the continent. The researchers continue to rely on the participation of interested citizens, African vacationers and amateur photographers to continuously grow the online photo guide. After scientific review, your illustrative photos will be added to the online directory.
